Brendan McGovern Quartet. My project is a genre-bending group that fuses elements of classical and jazz music into our performances. I will play flute for this upcoming performance, and we will be playing Claude Bolling’s Suite for Flute and Piano Trio. It is a lively, dynamic piece in seven movements that draws stylings from Baroque music, fugues, chamber jazz, Duke Ellington, and beyond.
